This initiative focuses on empowering individuals engaged in 18 traditional occupations by offering them training, modern tools, financial assistance, digital empowerment, and market linkages.

Key Features of the Scheme

1. Recognition and Certification

  • Beneficiaries are provided with a Vishwakarma Certificate and an Identity Card to formally recognize their skills and craftsmanship.

2. Skill Development

  • Training programs are provided in two phases:
    • Basic Training: 5-7 days (40 hours).
    • Advanced Training: 15 days (120 hours).
  • Trainees receive a daily stipend of ₹500 during the training period.

3. Toolkits and Incentives

  • An e-voucher worth ₹15,000 is given to beneficiaries to purchase modern tools upon completing the basic training.

4. Financial Assistance

  • The scheme provides collateral-free business loans in two phases:
    • Phase 1: ₹1 lakh for 18 months.
    • Phase 2: ₹2 lakh for 30 months.
  • Loans are offered at a subsidized interest rate of 5%, with the government covering the remaining 8% interest subsidy.

5. Digital Empowerment

  • Beneficiaries receive incentives for adopting digital transactions:
    • ₹1 per digital transaction, capped at 100 transactions per month.

6. Market Support

  • Assistance is provided for:
    • Quality certification.
    • Branding and promotion.
    • Integration with e-commerce platforms.
    • Advertising and other marketing activities to expand market reach.
