Areca Subsidy Application
Objective of the Scheme:
This scheme is designed to benefit farmers who plant areca nut saplings or have areca nut plants less than 2 years old.
The main goal of this scheme is to encourage farmers to cultivate areca nut and become economically self-sufficient.
It aims to provide financial support for areca nut cultivation, modernization of plantations, irrigation facilities, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
Subsidy Details:
- Maximum assistance: Up to ₹2 lakh per plantation (up to 5 acres).
- The subsidy covers the costs of:
- Seeds and saplings
- Fertilizers
- Organic farming materials
- Drip irrigation
- Other crop protection expenses
Benefits of the Scheme:
Farmers can enjoy several benefits through this scheme, such as:
- Priority to local farmers of Karnataka, especially SC/ST, small and marginal farmers.
- Farmers who own at least 1 acre of areca nut plantation.
- Applicants must have Aadhaar card and land ownership documents (RTC/Pattadar passbook).

- Land documents (7/12 extract or Pattadar Passbook)
- Aadhaar card
- Bank passbook
- Farmer identity certificate (issued by Gram Panchayat or Tahsildar)
